Now that I have reset my passsword and know how to get into my blog, I can start posting!
Here are some recent thrifty finds and new knitting projects!
Clockwise from Top Left: 1. Neckwarmer - original design 2. Tom Scott Wrap - Vogue Knitting Holiday 2007 3. Thrifted Boiled Wool Jacket with embroidery 4. Thrifted Dress - looks handmade.
The neck warmer was a Christmas present for Little's teacher. She put it on immediately and has worn it every day since. When you take the trouble to hand make something, it is always nice to know the person will wear the garment. The Tom Scott wrap, I have been wanting to make for a long time, I found the yarn in my stash and had just enough yarn to make it. (seriously, I had less than 1m left!) I changed the cable because I found the original very difficult and finnicky to work. Plus I just like the look of this cable better.
I was so happy to bring home the jacket and dress from the thrift store - to me, that is why I love them - you never know what you will find and it was a 50% off day. I got those 2 items along with a puffy winter coat for ......wait for it! .......$13.50 including tax!!!! It is no wonder I can't shop in malls anymore. Working from home has its perks, but it would be nice to have somewhere to go so I could wear some of my fabulous clothes. Maybe I can wear the frilly dress and some heels whilst vacuuming! Cocktails anyone?!?!?!?!
